The Rock N Roll Hall of Awesomeness

Okay so lately I've really been getting back into Shine Down and for the first time listening to Pearl Jam. So far I've not been disappointing by either.

Shine Down isn't bad. I haven't heard a lot of their stuff, but I'll definitely check it out.

There's something about Pearl Jam that just makes me want to hammer a nail or seven into my ears. I don't know what it is, it's probably the annoying guy's voice, but something's going on there.

On that note, neither of these bands are really Rock and Roll, they're just rock.

If you like Shinedown and Pearl Jam, you'd probably like the Foo Fighters, who are better than both of those bands In my opinion. I recommend them, definitely.

yah i guess your right not Rock N roll but I meant that in a generic term. As for Pearl Jam they are Grunge so thats why you wanna nail stuff to your head.

Never heard a lot fo Foo Fighters but I'm told they really are that good yah know, and yes listen to some Shine Down

Foo Fighters are alright but Linkin Park dominates them. Also mudvayne rocks.

Linkin Park rocks i agree never heard if that other band you mentioned Ali, mudvayne is it any good?

They're okay, though they aren't rock, they're metal. One of the only metal bands I like.

Another good band you might like is Smashing Pumpkins. I've heard they suck live but they have good stuff.

That's true I guess. Well, as you probably know my favorite band is Alkaline Trio. They recently came out with a new album called This Addiction. It's pretty good, though most of the songs are only okay. They've only got like three on the new album that really kick ass. They aren't as good as they used to be at all, and they probably won't ever be. Their really early stuff, like their first album entitled "Goddamnit" was excellent, and the Alkaline Trio+Hot Water Music was a good deal too.
I know Alex doesn't like them but you should give 'em a try Boz. They're a love/hate band, so IDK what your opinion will be.

They haven't had a new record out sense 2008 but i did get to see them in March 09' at the House of Blues in Atlantic City and for the record this topic is for talking about anythign rock related like how Jimmy Page wants to get Led Zeppelin back together but the lead guitarist doesn't want to, he'd rather keep playing with his "New Band" >P

Its alright, Led Zeppelin is kinda boring now. Passed their glory days. Which in my personal opinion wasn't even that glorious. I was born into a hard rock megadeth, motley crue, bon jovi household

Led Zeppelin is good but they're totally nazi over their music rights. The reason there weren't any Lep Zeppelin songs in Rockband was because they like got all pissy and refused to allow it.

Good I prefer a Led free rockband. (haha its a pun).

Yeah RockBand is where I started listening to Modest Mouse, which is one of my favorite bands now.

It exposes so much music its awesome. But sometimes there are retarded ass songs on it.

I don't like Vertigo. It just bugs me that he goes "1, 2, 3, FOURTEEN" in Spanish at the beginning.

Dropkick Murphys are good.
I don't think I've tried Dubliners.
